GOOD QUESTIONS. STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

Planning your renovation.

What types of renovation do you handle?

Our focus is interior renovations to existing homes: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home or main-floor projects and related carpentry. Legal basement suites require their own assessment. We do not offer new-home construction, roofing or 24-hour emergency restoration.

Regina is our primary service area. We also consider selected projects in White City, Emerald Park, Pilot Butte and Lumsden, depending on scope, scheduling and trade logistics. Check our service-area page.

The initial discussion is free. For suitable projects, we discuss a site visit and the information needed for an estimate. A firm project price cannot be established from a photograph or calculator result alone.

Size, existing conditions, scope and selections all matter. Use our bathroom, kitchen or basement calculator for an initial planning range, then discuss a site-specific estimate.

We use a cost-plus approach, with a defined scope and allowances to support planning. No deposits.* Pay for work completed. There is no deposit to secure your renovation schedule. We invoice weekly for work completed and materials supplied, so your payments follow real progress in your home. *Special-order materials, including custom cabinetry, may require an advance payment. Any exception is explained and agreed upon before ordering. Actual work and project costs determine billing under your agreement. We invoice weekly as work progresses, with invoices due upon receipt. Review the written estimate and agreement for your project’s terms.

If selections change or concealed conditions affect the work, we discuss the added scope and cost implications before proceeding with additional work. Changes may also affect the schedule.

Our team works with qualified trade partners for specialized work. Trade involvement depends on the project, including licensed electrical or plumbing work where required.

Permit requirements depend on the work and municipality. We discuss the required approvals and permit coordination as part of the agreed scope. Required permits must be in place before the relevant construction begins.

Often, but it depends on the rooms and services affected. We discuss access, dust, noise, bathroom or kitchen availability and whether temporary accommodation would be more practical.

We can discuss this during planning. Product suitability, measurements, delivery timing and responsibility for product problems need to be clear before the work is scheduled.

E-transfer is preferred. Other payment options can be discussed, with any applicable fees confirmed before you choose a method. Your invoice and agreement set out the payment details.

Oakridge provides a 3-year workmanship warranty, subject to the written project terms. Manufacturer product warranties are separate. Read the workmanship warranty overview.

Include the property location, rooms involved, what you want to change, approximate budget and desired timing. Photos and dimensions can help us understand the starting point. Avoid sending sensitive personal documents.
